Associação Protectora das Florinhas da Rua

Associação Protectora das Florinhas, Lisbon, Portugal
Florinhas da Rua (street flowers) was established in 1917 to rescue the daughters of prostitutes from poverty and vulnerability. Today, it is home to children of both sexes from dysfunctional families, usually referred by the courts for their own protection, and also a halfway house for teenagers aged 16+. Florinhas da Rua cares for 23 children and young adults, aged 9 -18.
